Discovery trip Program - 10 days in Senegal
Arriving at Blaise Diagne International Airport, a driver will be waiting to take you to the "The Kenkeni" hostel in Warang.
Welcomed by the team of Mady and Mati, you will be quickly at ease in this family and warm place.
An example of 10-day stay is suggested below, however it can be modified with several options based on preference, length of stay, and personal budget :-)
Day 1 - Visit the association and the school group Les Cajoutiers.
Afternoon: Guided walk through the village of Warang.
Day 2 - A horse-drawn carriage will take you to "Les Cajoutiers" school for an introduction to sign language.
Afternoon: "Pool and Beach".
Day 3 - Touring the city of Mbour: the folkloric and colorful arrival of canoes at the fishing seaport and local craft market.
Afternoon: Visit workshops of young deaf: pottery, making objects from salvaged materials, pastry, hairdressing, crochet ...
Day 4 - Excursion to Sine Saloum by canoe through many islands and mangroves, nature and observation of many species of birds
Day 5 - In cart for the school "Les Cajoutiers" for a morning of games with children in kindergarten and Down Syndrome children's class.
Afternoon: visit Pointe Sarène, typical fishing village where many students of Cajoutiers live.
Day 6 - Visit Bandia Animal Park.
Afternoon: "Pool and Beach".
Evening: Dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 7 - Discovery of the weekly market of Sandiara (cattle, cereals, fabrics, fruits and vegetables, handicrafts, clothes, etc.) where the merchants and peasants sell and exchange their products.
Afternoon: African dance.
Evening: Traditional and ethnic show at Kenkeni.
Day 8 - Possibility to attend the Sunday mass, animated by songs and percussion.
Afternoon: Excursion of Joal and Fadiouth, the beautiful island shellfish Catholic.
Day 9 - Visit of the city of Dakar and the island of Goree (world-historical heritage).
Day 10 - Rest, souvenir shopping, "Pool and Beach". Return flight.
